I've lived in Poulton for over six years, having arrived during the dark lockdown period. I joined the Parish Council the following year, and have previously served as a parish councillor in rural Cheshire.  I wanted to make a positive contribution to the local community and to help make our beautiful village an even better place to live and to visit.  My main focus has been on Traffic and Speeding, where I led the installation and monitoring of our speed cameras and signage. While speeding is most definitely still a major problem for our village, I am delighted that we have seen a 50% reduction in speeders since the installation. I also coordinated the fundraising and installation of the new Children’s Play Equipment at the Recreation Ground.

Clerk

I moved to Poulton in 1999 with my husband, Andrew, and our two young daughters.  Later, in October 2004, I took over the role of Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer to the Parish Council.  I have been involved with the Poulton Toddler Group, Poulton Youth Club, and Poulton Village Hall Committee.  I work full-time in the English Faculty at a secondary school in Cirencester.

We have lived in Poulton for forty four years. For thirty years I ran a veterinary practice in Lechlade and Fairford, working with both farm animals and domestic pets. I have had involvement with Round Table, the Parish Council, the Village Hall Committee and Fairford Youth Football Club, raising the funds to establish a permanent home for the club in Horcott. Since retirement I have mentored for the King’s Trust, acted as a Trustee on two Trusts and as a Governor of Ampney Crucis School, which our two sons attended. I am an Arsenal season ticket holder.

Moved to the village in late 2019 after deciding it was the ideal place to put down proper roots. We are now firmly settled here with my wife, Courtney and our three young children, of which the two eldest happily (and energetically) attend Meysey Hampton Primary School.

Most weekdays I commute into London, where I work as a CFO in the construction sector — though village life always offers a welcome contrast to the city. Much of my time is spent on family life and I keenly support my children's participation in Friday night cricket during the summer!
